Ingredients:
- 12 slices bacon
- 1 package (12 oz.) frozen cooked, shelled and deveined shrimp, thawed
- Toothpicks
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Cut each slice of bacon in half lengthwise, then cut each half slice into thirds. Wrap pieces of bacon around shrimp and secure with a toothpick. Place 1/2 cup of butter in a 1-cup glass measuring cup, microwavable. Microwave for 1 minute. Check. Finished when butter is melted. Stir in the 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce; 2 teaspoons of chili powder and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder. Dip shrimp wrapped in bacon into the premixed sauce. Now arrange 18 shrimp wrapped in bacon on a china plate and cover with a paper towel. I use 2 layers. Microwave 3 minutes 30 seconds to 4 minutes 30 seconds, depending on your microwave, or until bacon is fully cooked. Halfway through cooking turn the shrimp wrapped in bacon a 1/2 turn. For crispier bacon add to a 375 preheated oven for 3-5 minutes. Repeat with remaining shrimp.
